This project was very fun....It didn't really take long either =], but i still miss my illustrator =[

I am Worst than Mr.Krabs when it comes to money....I love it....I want it.... just kudding

I  thought it would be a great idea to collect change that I'd find on the ground or in random places

hey we all look for that lucky penny on the floor... well hopefully I find them all that way =]

Tuesday Lecture!!!! Ben Volta

this is Ben Volta... and he's an artist

MOST of his work requires 2 things

1. ..... a process of information depending on topic , ideas, layout, etc

2. .... other people =]!!!!!

yes most of Volta's work is collaborative and yes even he has questioned himself on how does he create "his" work if other are doing it with / for him

 Well. .....Volta works with teenagers in school and they use subject such as their neighborhoods and math in order to create their work.

Here the Teens are brainstorming ideas about images that they thought reminded themselves of home.... and thus making these beautiful patterns which would be rooms in the home

In class..... he taught geometric projects and then had the kids build structures based off of them

I do believe that what Volta does it art....even if others are help, he's building community, friendships and skills ...that's still art in my book

Waking life

I really enjoyed all of the art work in this film and also the topic of what the characters were saying... i might just rent this moving as a program in my hall...
some of the characters seem very familiar (male in top picture) while the artist made others seem crazy...
I really ever wondered if I've had a dream this crazy, I rarely ever have dreams that are remembered but when they are , they're mostly weird
I felt as though I was watching an animation of Inception minus the action... guns and what not for the main character was always waking up but was still dreaming and even when the movie was over... he drifted away... so confused

I MISS ILLUSTRATOR.... don't get me wrong ... I enjoy this picture, but I really REALLY miss my pen tool... and i was very tempte to use it but I know that I couldn't ...I do love Photoshop, but I guess i just need more practice =/

John H. Thompson Lecture

 
At this lecture we learned about how a studio space is also a personal space. Whenever he talked I felt as though John is still a kid at heart. his lecture was a little mono-toned, but some of the projects that he's done were amazing

 

What I really took from this lecture was that your studio space should be a place were you always work, even if you're not producing for  commission , just continued to think and create
